Comment→DM — Privacy Policy

A product of Evans Automations (UK sole trader). Effective 11 August 2026.

Comment→DM ("the app") helps an Instagram professional-account owner automatically reply to people who comment on their own posts, and keep a private record of those interactions so the owner can follow up. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.

Who we are

Evans Automations, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. Contact: ethan@evans-automation.com.

What data the app accesses

Through Instagram's official API, and only for accounts whose owner has explicitly connected them to the app, we access:

We do not access private messages you did not initiate, followers lists, or any data unrelated to the comment-reply feature.

How we use it

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for their own purposes.

Where data is stored

Interaction records are stored in a private, access-controlled database operated by Evans Automations. Access tokens are stored securely and never shared.

Data deletion

To have your data removed, email ethan@evans-automation.com with the subject Data deletion and the Instagram username involved. We will delete the associated records within 30 days and confirm by reply.

An Instagram account owner can also disconnect the app at any time from their Instagram settings (Apps and websites), which stops all further data collection.

Data retention

We keep interaction records only for as long as they are useful to the account owner for follow-up, or until deletion is requested.

Changes

We may update this policy; the effective date above will change accordingly.
